The Reuben with a twist

The classic Reuben sandwich uses rye bread.
Recipes are only guidelines. We decided to see how the Reuben would taste using a sourdough bun.
Our bread substitution was amazing! We are sure you will love it too!
Directions
Ingredients:
Sourdough buns
butter
sauerkraut
Corned beef
Russian Sauce
Swiss cheese
Prepare homemade Russian Sauce:
1 tablespoon finely chopped onion
1 cup Mayonnaise
¼ cup ketchup-style chili sauce or ketchup
1 TABLESPOON of freshly grated horseradish
1 teaspoon hot sauce, preferably Frank's RED-HOT Sauce
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
¼ teaspoon sweet paprika
Fine sea salt
Mix the above ingredents in a small bowl. This recipe can be made ahead of time. The dressing can be prepared ahead and refrigerated, in an airtight container, up to 2 weeks.
- Slice buns in half.
- Heat a pan to medium heat on the stove.
- Spread softened butter on each half the bun.
- Brown the inside of the buns in the hot pan.
- Remove the bun from the pan.
- Place a sliced Corned Beef on the bottom bun slice.
- Place a slice of Swiss cheese on top of the Corned Beef.
- Spead Russian Sauce on top of the Swiss Cheese.
- Place another slice of Corned Beef on top of the Russian Sauce
- Add another slice of Swiss Cheese and sauerkraut.
- Place the top of the bun on the sauerkraut.
- Enjoy!
